Turn off battery saving for the app and leave the phone plugged in. The first numbers show up after about a day.
Passive and active tasks.
Mobile networks have to be measured from real devices in real places. That is what your phone is there for.
Passive: Proof of Work
This is the part that runs by itself. The app reports how well the mobile network performs where your phone sits, and it proves that the measurement came from real hardware.
In the app you see it as Service Status Active, with the switch node and the validation node connected. You do not have to do anything for it.
Unetwork collects these measurements and delivers them to mobile operators and companies, who use them to find fraud, billing losses and faults. That is what gets paid for.
Active: only if you want
Caller ID and SMS testing: you receive a call or a message and confirm in the app what arrived. Scout and Runner check international call routes.
You switch each of them on in the app, one by one, and you can switch them off again. If you never touch them, your phone keeps running exactly as before.
They can add to the passive part, but they come in waves and cannot be planned. Rewards vary and are not guaranteed.
The technical side, in short
- Background operationThe app has to keep running, so battery saving for it must be off. A phone on the charger in Wi-Fi manages that by itself.
- UptimeOur licenses ask for 87 % uptime in a month. Below about 85 % the network pays only a fraction of what it could.
- DataThe app needs about 7 GB a month. On Wi-Fi that costs you nothing extra, so keep the phone on Wi-Fi unless you have an unlimited plan.
- PayoutThe payout comes from Unetwork, by bank transfer in US dollars, euros or pounds, or in cryptocurrency. You pay yourself out from your own account there. We have no access to it.

Nothing. Running a license costs monthly credits at Unetwork, and we pay them. There is no fee for you, neither once nor monthly.
Which phones work?
Android from 7.0 and iPhones from iOS 15. An old device is fine, it needs nothing special.
What about the battery?
The app puts minimal strain on the battery and everything runs in the background. The phone should stay plugged in, and because of that we recommend a device you no longer use every day.
Who is Unetwork?
Unetwork runs the measuring network and the app. We are an independent license operator in that network. Your account, your balance and your payout are with Unetwork, not with us.
What if I want to stop?
Tell us and we free the license. What you have earned stays in your Unetwork account.
